Father's Day Gifts

Woodcraft (a favorite of mine...all the people in their stores are nice, and frankly I like their selection of tools) has just posted a Father's Day Gift Guide with great gift ideas for Dad starting under $25!

I just found this new deal of the day site, Ecosteal. It features 1 "green" product per day at a discount. (Today's is a bathrobe made from bamboo fiber (very eco-friendly)). They seem to be VERY new. I will keep an eye on them, and let you know how the deals pan out. I'd love to see them offer carbon-neutral shipping, or opportunity to donate to a green cause on their website...

Credit Karma

While this isn't specifically a DEAL per se, I have recently become infatuated with Credit Karma. It is a place to check yur credit score (your TransUnion score) for free. You enter in a little information, and can track your score. This is some quality information. Most credit report sites give your your report, but not your score. Credit Karma does the opposite. They give your your score (along with a nice historic graph of your score), and some good credit simulations and the possible effect on your score.

They make money, I suspect, by offering appropriate credit card and banking offers to you base don your credit score. While not as useful, perhaps, as the money saving features on Mint.com, they feel a little more targeted are realistic.

Cool site. It is free (my favorite price), and I think it is a totally great resource!
